An original watercolour painted from a favourite view here in Teddington that I have returned to more than once. I particularly love this old tree in autumn, with its dark twisting trunk, the little wooden gate and the scattering of fallen leaves beneath it.
I painted an earlier version of this view some years ago, which found a new home, and I wanted to revisit it again. This is a completely new original painting, painted loosely and directly in watercolour.
